Distance Learning - Notary Exam Prep (44 Hour Course)

The Distance Learning Notary Exam Prep Course will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays on the Natchitoches Campus from 6:30-8:30 p.m. beginning February 27, 2014.

Text Required:

• The current edition of the "Louisiana Civil Code (LLC)," which is a 2-volume publication by Thomson/West, edited by A.N. Yiannopoulos. This book is also used in the open-book portion of the Notary Exam. It is available through the LSUS Bookstore at a cost of $212 plus tax (price subject to change).

• 2013 Edition of the "Fundamentals of Louisiana Notarial Law and Practice", the Louisiana Notary Public examination official study guide and is available through the Louisiana Secretary of State Web Site: http://www.sos.la.gov/tabid/193/Default.aspx. Approximate cost in the past has been $90 (price subject to change).

In this course students will be given a specific review of the subjects tested on the Notary Exam.

Out-of-State Residents are not permitted to take this exam.

Distance Learning - Notary Exam Prep: Scenario Class (16 Hour Course)

The Notary Exam Prep: Scenario Class will be held on Saturdays on the Natchitoches Campus from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. beginning March 29, 2014.

Time: 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
Fee: $199

Text Required: "Fundamentals of Louisiana Notarial Law and Practice." 2013 Edition, $90 (subject to change). Available through The Louisiana Secretary of State Web Site.

This course is geared to those who have already taken the exam and need further instruction for the Scenario portion of the exam. Participants should have knowledge of the materials contained in the "Fundamentals of Louisiana Notarial Law and Practice."
